Sutiyoso: TNI Unemployment High Class

JAKARTA
Onews,-- The rise of violence that occurred between the military and police is a legacy issue of separation of military-police powers that have not bee
n resolved. The transfer of most of the role of the military to the police strongly suspected to be the cause of it.

It was said to be former Deputy Commander of Kopassus Sutiyoso, in a discussion titled missed Cebongan action in Jakarta, Saturday (04/06/2013) afternoon.

"Once separated, the military functions only as a means of national defense. This works if the country is attacked by another country. If it is today, the country is not attacked, then military grade unemployment so high," said Sutiyoso.

He said, a number of security functions that could be handled countries taken over by the military police. This, among others, the case of terrorism to drug prevention. That's what eventually became a psychological burden that must be experienced by the military as the competent authority as a means of national defense.

"In Kopassus we got Den 81. It is an elite military unit that is used to tackle the problem of terrorism. However that happens now, is that dealing with the issue of terrorist Detachment 88," he said.

He said there were things that need to be done by the government is necessary to fix the rules governing the duties and powers of the military in society. Not only that, the government should also pay attention to the welfare of the TNI. Thus, there is no gap in the body of the apparatus. Sutiyoso said, triggered the prosperity gap between the two radical action to defend the state agencies as happened in OKU and Cebongan prison.

"The bottom line portion needs to be regulated. Enough police handle certain issues and not need it all," he said.
