Students Demand SBY-Boediono Back or Free Papua
Solidarity withthe people of Papuaandstudentcareadvocacy andhuman rightsmonitoringagenciesof Indonesia,Monday (25/3)held a demonstrationin front of theMonumentMandalaliberationof West Irian,Jalan Sudirman,Makassar.
They demandedPresidentSusiloBambangYudhoyonoandBoedionohis deputystepped downfrom office.
The action wascoordinated byThomasCuses a number ofcharacteristicsPapuaantributby installingwhite banner that readTake backthe independence of PapuaandPapuamakedignifiedreturn.
NotonlyusedclothingtypicalPapuanprotesterswerealternatelyheldspeechwhilereading out a statementof their attitude.
They arealso more likely tohighlight thecrimes against humanitythatoccurredContinuesinPapuasince 1963,which untilkepempinanSBY-Boedionocontinue.The government givesspecial autonomystatus,but stillthere is no benefitto the people ofPapua.
